Parent Meeting on Thursday May 31st.

There will be a mandatory parent meeting after workouts on Thursday May 31st.  The meeting will begin at 7:00pm and it will be held in the Southport H.S. Auditorium.  We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Another North South All-Star

Congratulations to Kenneth Hawkins for being selected to the North/South All-Star team.  Kenneth is the 4th Cardinal to be selected in the last 4 years and he is the 5th cardinal selected in the past 7 years.  He is only the 8th Southport football player to ever be selected to the team.  This is a great honor and we are very proud of him.  He will represent Southport on the South squad.  The game will be  played July 13th.

 

 

He joins, Brandon Underwood, Joe Gilliam, Nick Turner, and Eric Golliday as North/South All-Stars during Coach Peebles Tenure as head coach at Southport. 

 

April Lifter of the Month -Cesar Guzman

Cesar Guzman has been named the April lifter of the month for the Southport Football Program.  Cesar's attendance all year has been outstanding.  He has been one of several freshman that have committed themselves to becoming weight room warriors.  He is also one of our most improved lifters.  The coaching staff is extremely excited about his potential as a player.  Cesar will be moving to LB this year.  He started for the freshman team last year at DE.

When Bill Peebles took over at Southport High School in 2005, they had won ten games in the past five seasons. Last season, they won eight, and he has
